Jung-Yul Choi, of Pusan, Republic of Korea, was elected to serve as second vice president of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 100th International Convention, held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, June 30 through July 4, 2017.

Vice President Choi is the CEO of an international trading company.

A member of the Pusan (First) Lions Club since 1977, Vice President Choi has held many offices within the association, including club president, cabinet secretary, district governor and vice chairman of Multiple District 309. In addition, he was a panelist at the 33rd OSEAL Forum, held in 1994.

In recognition of his service to the association, Vice President Choi has received numerous awards, including the Senior Master Key Award, the 100% District Governor Award, an International President’s Leadership Medal, six International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, an International President’s Award and an Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor the association bestows upon its members. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lion activities, Vice President Choi is CEO of Koala Company, Ltd. and vice chairman of the Dong-A University Alumni Association. He is also a past director of the Pusan Sports Association.

Vice President Choi and his wife, Seung-Bok, have four daughters.
